Frequently Asked Dragonfly Floral Questions
Q: Will Bonnie do all of my flowers herself?
A: Dragonfly Floral Owner and Master Designer Bonnie Z will meet with you and come up with the overall design for your event. She will then make prototypes to show her incredibly talented senior design team what she has in mind. She will personally oversee all of the work that is done for your event, while working on the flowers as well.
Q: Will my event be the only one that day?
A: Probably not, but each and every event is equally important to us. We do not take on more than we can handle and do put a cap on what we will do in a weekend.
Q: Will everything used in my arrangements be grown on Dragonfly Farm?
A: If it is important to you, please let us know. Otherwise, we use as much as we can from the farm, but supplement with materials brought in from other growers. Whenever we are able, we get things grown as locally as possible from like minded growers.
Q: Will Bonnie be at my event set-up?
A: More than likely you will see a very select team of Bonnie's trusted staff. Although there is an occasional Bonnie sighting. She tends to stay at the farm to oversee all of the setups and be available for questions.
Q: What will happen to my flowers after the event?
A: If you choose to rent our containers, we will come pick them up after the event but the flowers can be taken. Often they are in a liner within the container. However we encourage people to purchase the vases at a nominal cost. It is often less than the service charge to pick them up again. We are also happy to repurpose flowers from local events to a nursing home or non-profit organization.
Q: How many people will be working on my event?
A: It depends on the size of your event. On a big wedding weekend we have 6 - 8 designers in the studio, generally one person makes your personal bouquets, another team works on the other personal flowers, one designer is working on the big pieces and another team is working on the centerpieces. Pablo is out in the field tending the garden and our delivery driver is running around making deliveries and picking up things that we need.
Q: How many animals do you have here?
A: We have roughly 30 chickens, 21 ducks, 3 dogs and 7 house cats between 2 households and 3 barn cats.
